MEDICAL CITY CHILDRENS' HOSPITAL
Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas, has opened a Childrens' wing and one of my paintings,
Outside, hangs in the new building. Photos of the opening event and the painting's process
can be seen on my blog at this link.

FRESH FACES 2X2
Dallas artist Rita Barnard curated this show of emerging and established artists
featuring works two feet square. It's at the Bath House Cultural Center May 1 - June 5,
2010. My painting, Rey de la Noche, is included.

EXQUISITE CREATURES 2010
This exhibit, juried by mosaic artist Katrina Doran, continues with the theme set last
year of mermaids and octopuses. The Fisher Queen will my be contribution to this year's
show, this time at Norwood Flynn Gallery in Dallas, May 8 - 22, 2010.

7TH STREET MURALS
Several artists from the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas have created murals
for the 7th Street corridor of that city. Mine can be seen at the corner of 7th and
Clinton Avenue. The process of painting the mural can be seen on my blog at this link.

DALLAS ARTS REVUE 30TH ANNUAL MEMBER SHOW
Augustus and Caligula will be part of the Dallas Arts Revue member show at the Bath
House Cultural Center in Dallas, Texas. The opening reception is December 5, 2009 and
the exhibition ends January 30, 2010.

MATERIALS AND METHODS
I had work, with over twenty-five other artists, in this exhibition, curated by
Kenda North, photographer and professor of photography and art history at the
University of Texas at Arlington. It was a one night event, Thursday, November 12, 2009
at the Turner House in the Dallas neighborhood of Oak Cliff. The exhibit was described as
including pieces utilizing electronic media, book forms, mixed media, woven media,
quilting, painting and photography. The artists in the exhibit are part of the unique
community of Oak Cliff.


EMPERORS AND ROOSTERS
My one person show Emperors and Roosters opened September 12,2009 with a reception
6 - 8:30 pm, at Norwood Flynn Gallery, 3318 Shorecrest, Dallas, TX 75235. The exhibition
continued through October 10, 2009.

SPEED BUMPS 2009
My studio was included on the Speed Bumps 2009 Oak Cliff Studio Tour, Saturday,
June 13, 2009. Here's a story about the tour, from Dallas Arts Revue.

BLOG
I've begun a blog at this link that will deal with various subjects I don't go into
here. I'll update it as I have something else else to say or show.

RAY-MEL CORNELIUS: FROM HERE TO THERE
A review of my landscape paintings was exhibited at the gallery of the Visual Arts
League of Lewisville, Texas
, December 6 through January 17.

TWO PERSON SHOW
The Narrative Series was my exhibition in a two person show with David
Leonard at Norwood Flynn Gallery, Dallas, Texas, opening November 22 and
continuing through January 24.

ART FOR THE BRIDGE
Listening to Cicadas was my contribution to the Art for the Bridge exhibition and
auction benefiting The Bridge Breast Network, which provides life-saving cancer
treatment for uninsured and underinsured men and women. The exhibition and
auction was held on September 13, 2008 at the Women's Museum in historic
Fair Park, Dallas, Texas.

CALIFORNIA DREAMING
Pacifica, A Hill to the West, and Gulf of the Farallones are included in an exhibition,
California Dreaming, hosted by Barsac Brasserie in North Hollywood, California.

UN-ORDINARY HORIZONS
Autumn Hill, Edge of the River, Small Town Series: Fate, TX, and Poetry, Texas,
were included in an invitational landscape exhibition, Un-Ordinary Horizons, at the
Bath House Cultural Center, Dallas, Texas, April 26-May 24, 2008.

VERSE AND REVERSE
Winter Diguised, along with She May Be A Mermaid, were my contributions to the
invitational show Verse and Reverse, an exhibition of prose and poetry interacting
with visual media, at the Bath House Cultural Center, Dallas, March 15 - April 12. 2008.

HOW TO GROW AS AN ILLUSTRATOR
Several of my observations, with a reproduction of Jonathan Swift and the Martians,
are quoted in the new book, How to Grow as an Illustrator, by Michael Fleishman.

SPECTRUM 14
This piece, The Decorator, is included in Spectrum 14: The Best in Contemporary
Fantastic Art
, available now at fine and mega-bookstores everywhere.
It was also the cover of the 2007 Bud Plant Art Books Incredible Holiday Catalog.

SPECTRUM 13
One of my paintings, Vortex Tour, is included in Spectrum 13, available at
fine and mega bookstores everywhere.

APHRODISIA II
Another painting, Nude Series 2 is included in Aphrodisia II, a collection of
figurative work, also available at those same fine and mega bookstores everywhere.

CRICKET ON A PENCIL
Much to my surprise, I see the Cricket on a Pencil t-shirt, available at my Online Gallery
Store
, is considered one of the Top 100 Insect T-Shirts. Just goes to show, you never know.
